Three stops and when they're open
- Building 4700 keeps weekday hours. Its support offices, Personal Property among them, close at 4:30 p.m. on weekdays and are closed on weekends and holidays (Welcome Center page). Plan that visit early in clearing.
- Send the Dallas VPC your documents first. It urges customers to send paperwork before a shipping or storage appointment. Its last vehicle of the day is accepted at 4 p.m., and it is shut on weekends and federal holidays. It also wants any cracked windshield or window replaced before shipment (PCSmyPOV listing).
- The Lemon Lot permit desk is closed Sunday and Monday. The Outdoor Adventure Center is open Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It also closes on U.S. holidays (Fort Sill MWR).

For Lawton, the nearest is the Dallas VPC at 1123 Mineral Springs Rd. in Arlington, Texas. Cash for your car in Lawton
For junk cars in Lawton, the city code sets a clock. It counts a car as a junk vehicle if it is wrecked, dismantled, inoperative or missing parts it needs to run, or valued under $1,000 after adjusting for condition. Such a car can't stay on any property in the city, public or private, for more than 72 hours in a row unless it is fully inside a building on private property. The city first posts a Notice of Violation on the car. If it hasn't moved 72 hours later, a citation follows: $100 for a first offense, with each day counted as a separate offense.

Can a private buyer come see my car on Fort Sill?
Only with a Fort Sill pass if they don't carry a DoD ID card. The post has no provision for you to escort them in, and an access card from another installation, such as Tinker or Sheppard Air Force Base, doesn't count. The Visitor Welcome Center at 6701 NW Sheridan Road issues passes, 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day. Fort Sill asks visitors to request access online at least 24 hours ahead, and a request can go in up to 30 days early.
Do you pick up cars on Fort Sill?
Yes. Fort Sill is in our pickup area, and for an on-post pickup we coordinate access with you directly. The gate list above shows which entrances the post marks for unregistered vehicles, and when each one is open.
Which office handles a title transfer in Lawton?
Service Oklahoma has a Lawton office at 705 E. Gore Blvd., but its vehicle-title page lists only one state-run office for a title transfer: N Classen in Oklahoma City, about 90 miles from Fort Sill. Otherwise the transfer goes through a licensed operator, Service Oklahoma's name for what used to be called tag agents, and those serve all 77 counties. I've already left Lawton. Can the car still be picked up?
Yes. Once the paperwork is squared away, you don't need to be there for pickup. Call us before you set anything in motion and we'll go through the order with you, so nothing gets signed out of sequence. If the car is sitting in a Lawton driveway until then, keep its registration current: the city's code also counts a car whose state registration is more than three months out of date as a junk vehicle, which puts it under the 72-hour limit above.
