Can a car that won't start get overnight street permission in Green Bay?
No. Between 3 and 5 a.m. a car needs permission to be on a city street, requested at 920-448-3438 before 2 a.m., but under the current code, last amended July 21, 2026, no approval goes to a wrecked, dismantled or non-operating vehicle (Sec. 40-29). Keep it in a garage, or set pickup before it has to move.
Where can I meet a private buyer safely in Green Bay?
The Green Bay Police Department set up an Internet Purchase Exchange Location in the East Side Community Policing Center parking lot, next to 315 S. Baird St. The lot is on video 24 hours a day (no audio), and officers can pull the recording if a sale is ever questioned (GBPD page).
